The Dave Carlson Grant reflects Metro North Rotary's commitment to investing in children and teens, particularly those who are disadvantaged or underserved. Through this grant program, the club provides financial support to organizations and initiatives that create opportunities for young people to learn, grow, and thrive.
Funding for the Dave Carlson Grant is made possible through the generosity of our community and the success of Metro North Rotary's annual Envelope Challenge fundraiser. Every contribution helps provide financial support to organizations that are creating brighter futures for children and teens.
Named in honor of founding member Dave Carlson, the grant recognizes his extraordinary commitment to Metro North Rotary and his lifelong dedication to Service Above Self. As one of the club's original charter members, Dave faithfully served as Board Secretary for 20 years. His leadership, integrity, and commitment to serving others helped shape the culture and values of our club.
Today, the Dave Carlson Grant continues his legacy by supporting projects that make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people while reflecting the values of Rotary.
Grant Priorities
Priority is given to projects that:
- Benefit children and teens.
- Demonstrate Rotary's motto of Service Above Self.
- Align with the principles of Rotary's Four Way Test.
- Create a meaningful and lasting impact within the community or beyond.
