We are having a Membership Drive! You have until June 27 to recruit new members for a chance at a $100 gift card to Cedar Ridge Winery. If you bring a guest to a meeting your name gets in the drawing one time and if that member signs up before June 27 you get your name entered five times.
The golf outing has been canceled due to lack of participation. No meeting June 6th.
Metro High School Teacher Appreciation was May 31st.
We will be having a service project on Saturday, June 22nd at Metro High School. We will be moving machinery and removing old carpet. Tom will be organizing and needs help all day.
Metro North is looking for a used laptop computer to run slideshows, etc.
Speaker: Mia Henderson, outbound exchange student
Mia is in the 10th grade at Prairie. She will be in Tres Cantos, Spain from September 2019 - June 2020. Tres Cantos is about 30 minutes from Madrid and 3 hours from the coast. The local rotary club in focuses service work on polio and clean water. There are a lot similarities in food, such as hamburgers, seafood, and churros.
Mia's host family has 2 daughters. She's connected with the family and developed a relationship with them. They're already planning a reunion trip with her family.
