Speaker: Glen Schwartz, Member of the Prairie States Mushroom Club
Glen grew up on a dairy farm in North-Central Minnesota, and has been an active outdoor enthusiast his entire life. He has been a member of the Prairie States Mushroom Club for about 12 years. Glen served as President of the club for 7 years, and is currently the club Secretary. He has been employed by Collins as an engineering technician for the past 45 years.
Glen shared a slideshow of fungi and explained the various types of mushrooms. They come in every color of the rainbow and all sizes and shapes. One of the fun facts Glen shared is that mushrooms are more closely related to humans than they are plants!
Prairie States Mushroom Club has 35 members and one annual meeting. The club typically goes on one mushroom hunting adventure each month.
Is it the TRUTH?
Is it FAIR to all concerned?
Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
