Metro North Rotary Club awarded $5,000 in funding to four local nonprofit organizations through its Dave Carlson Grant Program for the spring grant cycle, continuing the club's commitment to supporting organizations that serve youth and families living in the Cedar Rapids area. Spring grant recipients included Boys & Girls Clubs of the Corridor, Junior Achievement, Theatre Cedar Rapids and YPN.
Metro North Rotary hosts two grant cycles each year, with application deadlines of October 31st and April 30th. Eligible nonprofit organizations, with a focus on serving youth or families are encouraged to apply. The Dave Carlson Grant Program honors one of Metro North Rotary's founding members and longtime board secretary, Dave Carlson. Carlson served as our club's board secretary for 20 years, playing a vital role in helping establish and strengthen Metro North Rotary's commitment to service and community impact.
