Speaker:

Sandi Lafferty, The View Senior Retirement Communities

Since 2004, The Views Senior Living has served families like yours. Over the years we have won several national and state awards and have become known as innovative leaders in the senior care industry. Not only is our healing design memory care unique, but we have built a solid reputation as a locally owned provider that serves our community with quality amenities, compassionate care, and the knowledge to walk you through most anything that comes your way during your stay with us.

Our Community of Choices is just that, a community. As part of The Views family, you will have access to multiple levels of care. We have communities in Cedar Rapids, Marion, and Burlington, Iowa. Whether you are looking for an independent or assisted living apartment, need specialized memory care, short-term rehab after a hospital stay, or long-term nursing home care, you can rest assured The Views Senior Living is here for you.

Sandi talked to us this week about how the current Covid situation is effecting the senior living communities.  Luckily so far no residents or staff have contracted the virus.

The Views Senior Living is continuing to follow infection control protocols and non-essential visitation. The strategy as outlined:
Allowing only essential visitors, those providing needed essential care for our residents
Essential visitors are screened via COVID-19 questionnaire and temperature is taken
Anyone answering yes to any question is prohibited from visiting
Residents’ and team members’ temperatures checked daily
Frequent hand hygiene with alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water, washing for at least 20 seconds
Frequent disinfecting of commonly touched environmental surfaces to decrease environmental contamination.
Standard precautions, such as wearing masks, gloves and gowns as situations warrant their use.

Next Week:

Melanie Lentz
Life of a US Secret Service Special Agent

Melanie became a secret service agent when she was 22 years old, one of the youngest agents ever hired. She spent most of her career in the Los Angeles Field Office and travelled all over the country and abroad protecting the nations leaders and foreign leaders when they visited the US. Melanie made the difficult choice to leave the Secret Service in 2016 when her personal life had fallen apart. Today Melanie writes and speaks about the lessons she learned as a young female agent and how protecting others taught her a lot about protecting herself.

THE FOUR WAY TEST

Is it the TRUTH?

Is it FAIR to all concerned?

Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?

Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
