Lindsey Gruber
Junior Achievement of Eastern Iowa

Lindsey Gruber, a Cedar Rapids Native and Washington HS grad, studied Business Administration and Public Relations at Coe College, where she graduated in 2007 with a double major. Right out of college she joined the Alzheimer’s Association where she focused primarily on Communications and Public Relations. A year after graduating from Coe, she moved out to New York City with her best friend to complete an event planning internship. Lindsey then moved back to Cedar Rapids and re-joined the Alzheimer’s Association, this time focusing on fundraising and event planning for the organization.

Following Alzheimer’s Association, Lindsey took a new role at March of Dimes where she grew her career for over a decade. At March of Dimes, Lindsey managed a board of directors and several event-planning committees, planned signature fundraising events from start to finish, cultivated and stewarded both individual and corporate donors, and led a small but mighty development team. After more than 10 years at March of Dimes, Lindsey pursued a new opportunity outside of nonprofit where she joined the marketing team of a local credit union. In this role, she was able to build relationships nonprofit and community partners, plan corporate events for the credit union, educate and recruit fellow employees to participate in community events, and she also led a new business development initiative.

In the spring of 2023, Lindsey returned to the nonprofit industry by joining Junior Achievement of Eastern Iowa as the Business Development Coordinator. In this role, she is primarily responsible for securing new partnerships and volunteers. She is one of four Development team members, all of whom focus on securing investments from corporate and individual donors to help further the incredible mission of Junior Achievement.

Lindsey is married to her husband, Jason, and has two beautiful children. She enjoys tennis, golf, sitting by the pool, traveling, country concerts and mostly, spending time with her family. She is an active volunteer at her children’s school as well as several community organizations.
