Prairiewoods Franciscan Spirituality Center: A Place of Peace and Transformation

Leslie Wright became the director of Prairiewoods Franciscan Spirituality Center in August of 2022 where she leads of team focused on eco-spirituality, spiritual formation and holistic health. Her work is built upon a powerful belief in:

  • The enduring potential for transformative change – for individuals, organizations and systems
  • The power of collaborations and collective creativity
  • A future built on a vision of wholeness and connectedness

Her professional journey has included founding an independent consulting practice, Collective Clarity, and serving in leadership roles for the United Way of East Central Iowa and the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation. She is a visionary leader and successful intrapreneur. She has led teams focused on designing and implementing collaborative care coordination networks, leadership development programs for underrepresented people, and disaster response and recovery coalitions.

Leslie has been a conference speaker and trainer for the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine, the Iowa Primary Care Association, the United Way Worldwide network and others. She has been a facilitator and trainer in organizational development and performance improvement, and a strategic planning consultant. Leslie currently serves as adjunct faculty in Mount Mercy University’s Master of Strategic Leadership program. She also serves as a Kirkwood Community College Trustee and on the board of the Friends of the Cedar Rapids Public Library.
