Speaker:
Heather Butterfield, Outreach Coordinator with Iowa Donor Network
Iowa Donor Network coordinates for all of Iowa with offices in Altoona and North Liberty.
Donors cause a ripple effect - one person can help many lives. Anyone of any age can donate. People can donate organs, tissues and eyes. It's important to talk to your loved ones about your wishes if you are a donor.
Heather shared a touching personal story about her sister who passed away suddenly and helped several people through her tissue donation. There are currently over 114,000 people on the US donor waiting list and 637 on the Iowa waiting list.
If you could save a life, would you? Life. Love. Legacy.
