In July, Kyle Boardman passed the presidential gavel on to Lindsay Glynn to lead our Metro North Rotary Club throughout the 22/23 Rotary year, our club's 20th year! In the first quarter alone, Lindsay has been off and running with our "20 Service Projects for 20 Years" goal. She has coordinated and enabled our club to complete five of the twenty projects with another five projects set up to finish out 2022.
Through these projects, our Club has:
  • Helped Boys & Girls Clubs set up registration for their Fish-O-Rama fundraiser which raised $160,000 to support their daily Club programming
  • Supplied 18 students from Metro High School with school supplies
  • Served 82 hot meals at Green Square Meals
  • Provided 90 teacher appreciation gifts for teachers at Metro High School and Boys & Girls Clubs
  • Provided a truck load of diapers to YPN and the Eastern Iowa Diaper Bank
Through these projects, we have provided a total of 62 volunteer hours to the Cedar Rapids Community!

Lindsay has also personally raised $376 through her swear jar which will be donated to a local non profit at the end of her presidential term! With another nine months to go, this total is sure to grow!
