Jody Donaldson is running for one of the two open board positions. Find out more about her below:

Dear Fellow Rotarians,

It is with great enthusiasm that I submit my interest in a board position within Metro North Rotary. I have been a proud member since January 2012. While I have truly enjoyed serving as a general member and as co-chair of the Community Relations team, I am anxious to take my leadership skills to the board level. I would like to be a part of the team that continues to support a successful division of rotary, sustain the membership, and fuel the energy.

I am such an advocate for volunteerism and philanthropy; I have made it my life career and  passion. I'm employed at Kirkwood Community College as the Scholarship & Alumni Officer. I have been in my role in the Development Office since 2005. I work attentively with donors to raise funds and steward the gifts through the scholarship program. In 2013-2014, we were able to support students with $2.6 million dollars in scholarship support. I don’t take my position lightly  as each and every day I work tirelessly to simply make a difference in the life of a student. I also have the privilege of reconnecting with our 70,000 alumni who live all over the world.

Imagine the energy and creativity I get to expand upon in building those relationships – it’s a very gratifying position.

I am a graduate of Kirkwood Community College and Upper Iowa University with a degree  in Business Administration and Marketing, and a certificate in Volunteer Management. I am currently working on my Masters of Science Degree in Higher Education. Along with my love for Rotary and serving others above self, I serve on the Board of Directors for the Freedom Festival, Advisory Board Member with Options of Linn County, Board Member for Economic Alliance Youth Leadership for Five Seasons, Board Member for ARC of East Central Iowa, and Advisory Council Member for CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education). I also serve on various committees within the college. I am a VERY proud mother of a Prairie High School sophomore, who keeps me busy fishing, skiing, boating and worrying.

I aspire to take on a leadership role within Metro North Rotary and continue my aspirations to live a purposeful life.
