Bio:
Melanie Wertzberger is the founder of Shaka, a business built based on her experiences as an employee that wanted more opportunities to connect and build a network and friendships at work but her employer didn't offer an employee-first culture. Melanie is a Cedar Rapids native who ventured off to Kansas State University to gain her degree in Finance and later the University of California, Irvine to earn her Master's in Innovation & Entrepreneurship. When she isn't working, Melanie enjoys playing sand volleyball, pickleball and is currently working towards the sommelier certification.
